Dania Khan: The Muslim Girl Who Claimed She Became Radha — Then Took It All Back

Dont bother about me take care of your own sisters

Dania Khan disappeared from her Bareilly home on a February night, then reappeared as a Hindu bride named Radha. Six months later, she took it all back. On February 5, 2025, Dania Khan left her family’s home in Premnagar, Bareilly, at 8 p.m. She did not return. Her father, Suhain Raza, waited one day. Then he filed a missing persons report at the local police station.

Days later, Dania appeared on Instagram. She wore sindoor in her hair and a tilak on her forehead. She had a new name: Radha. “I am twenty years old,” she said in one video. “I left home by my own choice. I married Harshit Yadav by my own choice.” She claimed she had converted to Sanatan Dharma. She said they married in a temple. She begged her father to withdraw the police report. “Please don’t harass me,” she said. “If my life is in danger, my parents will be responsible.”

Not every video attacked her parents. In one clip, Dania turned on the trolls instead. “My family gave me a good upbringing,” she said. “I made a mistake, not them. If you want to say something, say it to me.” That video showed her sitting in a car. Her tone was calm. She sounded like a daughter protecting people she loved

Officer Ashutosh Raghuvanshi of Premnagar station gave a simple response. If Dania and Harshit were adults, they should appear before police or court. “Further action will be taken based on their statement in court,” he said.

In August 2025, Dania came back to Bareilly. Her story had changed completely. She denied converting to Hinduism. She denied marrying Harshit. She said they were only in a live-in relationship in Vrindavan.

Now Dania blamed someone else entirely. She accused her stepmother of pushing her into the relationship. “My stepmother encouraged me to befriend Harshit,” Dania said. “Then she started blackmailing me for money.” She said her stepmother saw her as a “stepdaughter” and deliberately led her astray. “If I was going down the wrong path, my mother should have stopped me,” Dania said. “But she pushed me further.”

The February videos showed wedding footage. They showed sindoor. They showed a temple ceremony. The August statement erased it all. Dania said she “never changed her name or religion” and “never married Harshit Yadav”. Police have not confirmed which version is true. The case remains open.

Some social media users claimed this was a “Bhagwa Love Trap” — a conspiracy theory about Hindu men targeting Muslim women. No evidence supports this claim. Meanwhile, Dania had her own warning. In one video, she told relatives to mind their own business. “Those whose mothers and sisters haven’t run away should stay busy with their own lives,” she said.
