Maeurn Smiles Builds School For 300 Kids — Then Trolls Slam Her Adult Star Income

Maeurn Smiles spent her adult content earnings on a school for 300 children. The Filipina creator wanted to give back to her hometown of Cebu. Instead of gratitude, she received a fiery wave of online backlash.

Her gesture sparked heated debate across social media. Trolls slammed the contrast between adult content income and children’s education. Reddit users split sharply over the project, with some mocking the source of the funding.

Some critics labelled the effort “ethical gooning.” Others poked fun at the irony of the situation. Even so, supportive fans rushed to her defence, praising her for directing her money toward a worthy cause.

The project carries deeply personal meaning for Maeurn Smiles. She dreamed of standing at the front of a classroom while growing up. That ambition never faded, even as her path shifted.

She once taught English to Chinese students. Even so, her own dreams of attending university collapsed. Her family couldn’t afford to send her to college. That disappointment shaped everything that followed.

Instead, she turned to creating adult content online. The move ultimately made her wealthy enough to buy her way into the education sector. Decades later, that decision funded something she once thought impossible.

Back in 2024, Maeurn Smiles spent just over £21,000 on a massive plot of land in Cebu. That sum equalled roughly 1.75 million Philippine pesos. She originally planned to donate the plot to local authorities for a school.

However, she claims she hit a frustrating snag. Officials told her she wouldn’t be allowed to name the facility after her father. That condition clashed with her deepest motivation for the project.

Maeurn Smiles decided to take matters into her own hands. She funded the construction herself so she could honour her family name. The choice added financial weight, but it preserved her vision.

The main building will cater for around 300 children. Construction remains ongoing at the site. Even so, she didn’t wait around to start helping local kids.

In 2025, she officially opened a smaller learning centre on the site. The early-access centre is already up and running. Local youngsters gain hands-on access to science experiments, cooking classes and other practical lessons.

Meanwhile, the online reaction remains divided. Critics continue questioning the funding source. Supporters argue that good outcomes matter more than where the money came from.

Maeurn Smiles has not wavered publicly. Her focus stays on the children and the community she left behind. The school stands as proof that an unconventional path can still build something lasting.
