In the latest footage from Istanbul, Melisa marches along the pavement while blowing a whistle. She holds signs calling for women’s freedom to dress as they choose. Her message stays firm. Clothing never justifies violence. Control and fear do.
On social media, Melisa explains why she protests this way. She says women in Turkey face punishment every day. Laws restrict them. Social pressure follows them. Moral judgment often turns cruel. According to her, the system wants women seen only as wives or mothers.
